Not very much. How is the craft show circuit in your area? If there are a lot of them, you can try but it is a tough business to make much more than a little extra money.

Selling Prints?

I’m thinking about selling some of my artwork as prints or handmade notecard packages. I don’t have much of a venue to sell them at home except for craft shows… which I don’t think I am up for just yet… but I was thinking about ebay and the such… I’m wondering if anyone has tried this and knows anything about the market for artwork from young artists on these websites. Any other suggestions would be more than welcome! Please try to keep it positive!!!

Selling At Craft Fairs+online – Tax Etc?

I have just started to sell handmade things and products I have designed online and through craft markets + retail shops. I was just wondering how this works with tax etc? Should I keep this quiet from my full-time job? I dont really make any money from it – its more like a hobby rather than a means to make money.

Want To Help My Mother Set Up Her Own Small Business Selling Her Handmade Jewelery. Any Suggestions???

Since I can remember my mom has been making her own jewelery at home and sells it to her close friends, ladies at work, craft shows and house parties.
In the last few years she has been getting a lot of sales through word of mouth and has been bringing in decent cash but wont take the next step. I want to help her set up an Esty’s/Ebay account, market, take photos and set up shipping. I have even offered to learn how to make some jewelery. I don’t think she would have the patience to teach me.
I have looked up http://www.clouddome.com/ to take photos. As for making a website for her I think I may go through yahoo/small business.
Even though I have a few things in mind, I am still a little worried of her not liking the idea and how I can convince her that she makes such wonderful items that she could doing what she loves and make a decent living doing it.
Thank you everyone for reading and look forward to hearing your answers.

Do You Think A Business Of Selling Mouth-watering Chinese Pot Stickers Would Be A Good Idea?

my sister makes these most delicious pork pot stickers. When she sold them for church fund-raising they were gone in seconds. We were wondering maybe we should make a good business out of it. they are ten times better than the pot stickers/dumplings you get at regular Chinese restaurants.

Selling “artistic Interpretations” Of Copyrighted Material?

Basically I would like to sell some handmade crafts (sewn) that have a “theme” of some copyrighted animated material (not Disney, I’m not that crazy!). I am not directly copying the artwork of this material but to anyone familiar with the animated material, they would easily be able to recognize the animation it came from. Do most companies send a cease and desist letter for crafters? Hopefully my crafts would be considered art and could pass but I don’t want to get sued. I just want to make a little cash on the side and if I get a cease and desist letter, fine, then I’ll call it quits. Would anyone take this chance or have opinions on this?

Would You Buy Handmade Jewlery From An Online Store? I’m Considering Selling My Handmade Jewlery?

I make Jewlery and I want the proceeds to go to charity. I can build my own website, i’ve built a business one for a friend before. So that isn’t a problem. The only issue is would anyone be willing to buy handmade jewlery if some of the proceeds go to charity? Can you see this doing well as my own online store? And if I were to buy the beads from local craft stores would people copy my jewlery and make it for themseleves.
