I am a New Yorker, who recently moved down to the Gulf Coast region of Florida. I am curious as to where the best place to harvest Psilocyben Cubensis Mushrooms is, what is the best method to do so, and how can I tell which is the right mushroom to pick? Also, I am curious as to what composts/fertilizers they grow on, i.e. cow manure, horse manure, etc.
Please only answer this question if you have a knowledge of the subject or are a shroomer yourself.

There are thousands of different species of LBMs (Little Brown Mushrooms). Some are edible, some are poisonous, and some are even deadly. To identify what species of LBM you have found you will need to use a good field guide. Many LBMs differ microscopically from each other, so depending on what the mushroom looks like, you may need to look at the spores or other features under the microscope to distinguish them from look alikes. Even then, many LBMs have not even been formally documented by mycologists, so you may not find your mushrooms in a field guide. Besides the Amanitas, LBMs are generally the most dangerous mushrooms to pick due to their wide variety. I would never recommend eating any LBM you find unless you first consult with a professional mycologist, or if you are a very experienced and knowledgeable mushroom hunter who is positive of the identification. Under no circumstances should you eat a mushroom based on a response from yahoo answers – yahoo answers is an unreliable source, and can result in your illness or even death.

First of all, we live in the Netherlands. What we plan on taking is absolutely legal.

We’re going to take magic mushrooms for the first time. I’m kind of nervous though, and scared I’ll have a bad trip. What can I do to prevent a bad trip? What do I do if my friend has a bad trip? Does anyone have any experiences with magic mushrooms? What are the odds of having a bad trip?

I’d like to tie-dye a few tapestries and I don’t know what fabric to use. I’ve read that people use tablecloths and bedsheets but I’m not sure what materials they need to be (100% cotton, or will synthetic fiber blends work?). Also, sheets and tablecloths have different weights and thread counts, are there any that work particularly well and can be found cheaply at a local store?
I will be using Procion dye and pretreating with soda ash

We seem to be having some differences in concepts here. To me, a tapestry is a heavy woven fabric, made by hand (or now by machine) without use of a shuttle. Typically scenic or floral, used for decorative hangings or heavy draperies or sometimes upholstery. What are you trying to make?

If you try to dye, say, a cotton-poly blend fabric, you’ll get a lighter color than intended, a marled color, warp or weft of white, and the other dyed, or some other mixture. The way the fibers were blended to make the fabric will determine it.
If you’re not using greige goods (PFD, prepared for dyeing), you will need to scour the fabric beforehand, not simply treat with soda ash.
As to sheets, tablecloths, etc, I can’t begin to advise you what would be appropriate for your project, because I don’t understand what it is. Can you please explain more?

The fabric on the hat would have to be 100% cotton for the dye to work. If it’s cotton, you won’t be able to tie it, but you can paint the dye on, or even dip-dye it for effect.
